On being asked what his new little beother, when he arrives should be called, Tyler has decided on Gruffalo I spose it's little better than what he wanted to call the kittens!

kids come out with the funniest things at times!
Am i really facing a new nephew called gruffalo though? When they got their kittens a few months ago he decided they should be called catwee and catpoo (made me think of catweasel!) so asi said i spose gruffalo is an improvement on his name taste!

Went to see my brother and Tyler last night. Ty's now decided on the much more sensible name of 'wobby' for the babe.. Steves still not impressed
I;m trying to hink of some other clasics Jo has come out with..vulture puddng hadm in sitches! though he did put a tooth (one he'd lost a while ago n i'd kept in a little box with some other things) up his nose the other day! he found it, was fiddling wth it, then i hear..'mum its up my nose!' i was just calling a cab to casualty when he managed to snort it down

My best friend's daughter had a mania for stuffing things up her nose when she was about 2. She once managed to get hold of some polystyrene from under their fish tank and stick that up her nose. There then followed an interesting trip to casualty to see a foreign doctor who didn't understand what polystyrene was and eventually she had to have a rather nasty operation when she was 4 to clean out her sinuses.
Being childless, I'm missing out on all this excitement

Answering two posts back - no, no nephews or nieces (although brother and current girlfriend seem serious so I might still get to be an auntie) and friends children almost grown up now. The little girl in the polystyrene incident is now 13 and her older brothers are 16 and 18!
My boyfriend has some nieces and nephews but as he has virtually no contact with his siblings, we don't get to see them much. In fact, I've yet to clap eyes on his neice and she's nearly a year old.
I've been trying to remember some of the things my friends kids said when they were little. Little Miss Polystyrene, when aged 7, refused to believe that my boyfriend is a train driver on the grounds that he is not covered in soot. My friend said "It's not that sort of train" to which the child replied "What other sort is there?"

I've remembered a couple of cute things that my ex-husband's neice used to say when she was little. She couldn't pronounce her "L's" properly until she was about 4, so she used to call me Auntie Wiz. Even more cute was the way she morphed her mothers name (Rowena) with the word mummy and for a long time she addressed her mother as 'Mumina'. Ahh.

I quite like Gruffalo too!
At least he's being proactive thinking of names, we've got a boys name but nothing for a girl yet... and I've got to wait at least another 2 weeks before I find out...
