That's all very well, but do you have a copy of Duran's covers album "Thank You"?
I seem to remember that the NME's review of said album was, simply, "No thank you."

Which, of the last three dodgy cover versions, are you referring to?

I have a copy of said album.
When I bought it, I played it through.
Since then, it has remained in my CD collection, using up valuable space and plastic.

Yes, good point, which one were you referring to, fords?
It's funny that nobody remembers Duran's version of "Perfect Day" since the massed hordes of BBC promoting bandwagon jumpers adopted it...

That was probably the least bad of a collection of really bad covers.
Then again, I also bought Meddazaland, which also suffers from the "play once and ignore" syndrome. They were going through a bad patch at the time.

No, I don't believe you. I'm the only person in the world who has Dave Stewart & Barbara Gaskin's version of The Locomtion.

Did Meddazaland ever get released over here?

I don't think so, only ever available on import. I bought it in SF anyway, I was visiting a friend at the time.

It's the Dave Stewart & Barbara Gaskin aspect that's worrying me.
