I was just looking at things to put on cvs in guide entries on here last night. I had to write a personal statement for an application form

I really hate those things. The amount of CVs I've posted off only to get an application form sent in return it's such a waste of everyone's time to have to keep filling forms out when you can just post off your CV. What blimmin' difference does it make?

'The personal statement is an oppertunity for you, as a potential employee, or student, to sell yourself to the potential employer or accademic institution. Your personal statement is the 'this is why I am better than all the other applicants with simular/identical experiance/qualifications', it can be used to demonstrate your personal attributes and how these are applicible to the 'work ethic'. It gives you the oppertunity to demonstrate your outside interests and passtimes, which can also demonstrate attributes which the potential employeer is looking for.' or something... or 'what a load of c**p' well, the visit to the jobcentre was a waste of time as I knew it would be... I'm bored now, might change back to my jeans and make some noise on teh guitar, or have something else to eat...
