Yes, a tortoise 'cos it will probably outlive the pair of you, you can paint your names on its back & its a very portable pet, extremely zen, grows slowly like a good marriage.

i saw that when i was googling terri..im sure its not the pone she wore in the film. it was like a silvr mesh ball.. n the tannis root was inside

Tanis seems to be a fictional herb, which maybe is just as well. Do you have an art school near you, i bet a student could craft you a necklace just like that & you could put a friendlier herb inside it.
Or you could of course have the traditional alternative to a ring; a heart on a chain.
Hand of Fatima are lovely too.
