I hate my Dad being so far away, he(they) is in new zealand, I am my dads girl, despite all that happened in my childhood 
got him on to hootoo, so we 'talk' once a week, i post to him heaps and he comes on once a week to get his emails and read my posts
my mum and i didn't really connect until a few years ago, I am so different from her, we find it hard to have a common ground, but still we try........and are slowly getting to know one another as adults 
I was the son my Dad never had, why I am such a tomboy i suppose......
