bod, i have no idea how to set up these lovely personal spaces either, only had a computer since about april, and i am as thick as manure on them, all these clever links they do, i feel like an air traffic controller with planes way above my head.
So dont worry mate its all good fun, just enjoy the chats
Your friendly Bovril

Thanks Bovril. It's good to know that there's someone else who can't do whizzy wonderful things with computers. I think I've got to the age where new things just won't go in no matter how many times I'm shown or told. Cheers for the support.
You're on my friends list.
Boddhisatva.

Over forty (gasp) Do I need to be more specific?
I've no idea what the "Friends" list is for either, so there you go!
I feel like a five year old just learning how to read for the first time. I've entered into a world that is a little bit scarey but at the same time fascinating.
I'm also a bit scared of stepping on someone else's toes, or saying something that offends anyone.
I've joined these webchat things before and find some people are so passionate about what they're saying that they cannot accept that there may be an alternative point of view. It's okay arguing with your friends 'cos they are known to you and you won't lose their friendship over small isssues, but when dealing with people you've never met I'm so frightened that I'll offend someone. I'd never make a diplomat!!
Ok rant over! Will speak to you soon.
Boddhisatva.

ok mate, bov is ok, most people just put BK, i dont really care either way, but you put want you want to
Boss giving you hassle eh, luckly dont have one (except wife), but we can discuss all that on other thread, or this one, always find the personal space threads a bit more private, but not all the time though, main threads are always busy.
Going to get boys from school soon, so will prob chat later on.
If you go to my personal space and look at the posts that i visit join them they are all a bit of fun.
also there are loads of threads on this site, i have probably been to about 5% of them others look a little boring.
Bye for now

I work for the Government.
And they'd probably be quite upset if they knew I was using their computer systems to talk to all sorts of unsavoury characters (no offence you know what I mean.
Having said that they probably know already and have put a trace on you and everybody else I talk to.
What do you do BK? And do you need any paid help?
dont worry
Marmite Posted Sep 12, 2005
Government eh, bye.................................
Does that mean you have to kill me now for letting me know
I am an AA counsellor (not the car people though).
I used to be one (not a car of course), but the other and had to change my ways for serious medical reasons, and then thought its time for me to help others in the position i was in, and i love it, it can be very depressing at times, but if i can help give back to others the help that i got, then i am a happy man

Gosh BK it sounds as if you have a purpose to your life!
I'm very envious.
Having said that I quite enjoy what I do, it's just sometimes things are on go slow and time hangs heavy. The temptation to sit with a large bag of chocolates and eat all of them to stave off the boredom.
Anyway, my services are required elsewhere just now so I'll speak to you again soon.
Take care, fond regards
Bod
