New job
Posted Apr 6, 2002
I have been working for a temp agency for the last two years (I decided to give up working in a conventional fashion for a variety of reasons, some of which will become apparent if I remember to update my journal - and more importantly if anyone reads it!) and a couple of months ago they placed me with what I suppose you might call a microbiological research centre. Now not that anyone out there knows anything about me but microbiology is about as close to my sphere of knowledge as the first names of Atomic Kitten. However, in need of the money I took up the challenge and spent my days mixing a variety of chemicals for use as base media in the field of DNA research. At the end of the contract I was amazed to be offered a slightly more demanding position in waht I believe is called Finishing Team and have just started messing about with microscopic bits of DNA!! If I find a cure for the common cold I'll let you know.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
