I'm 20+ - does that make me a nut case?

Colleen - what on were you doing posting in a conversation on Fräulein Grafenberg's personal space?
And why were you being so rude when people tried to point out that maybe it wasn't exactly the friendliest way to approach people?
And who said anything about Singapore?

Colleen, it says on your page that you are 12 years old.
You won't be treated like a child here (unless of course you act like one!) and you will find people remarkably unconcerned about anyones age. This is a family site with many under 18 researchers and you will be safe to talk here, however, you might like to think about the signals that your chosen screen name gives out.
People on the site are friendly, but all information and conversations are open and public. Several details of how to contact you are listed on your page and along with your screen name, so you might find someone unconnected with h2g2 takes advantage of your invitation.
You've already found what happens when you jump into a conversation and the adults assume from your name that you are older. My suggestion to you to settle into h2g2 is to get a feel for the site for a while. Lurk and read, but resist the temptation to post for a few days. Start with the FrontPage and read the 5 entries for the day. The Hitchikers Guide is as much about writing as it is about reading. Read the conversations hanging from those entries. Follow links to other entries. Search for something you'd like to read about. If its not there - why not think about writing it!
Have fun!

Colleen, I have read all of the postings belonging to the conversation you jumped into, and I can STILL not find anyone mentioning ANYTHING about Singapore - are you sure you posted in the right place?
And nobody is following you around dear - you posted in an already existing conversation created by two other researchers on one researchers personal page.
As far as I can see, the only place apart from that where people have responded to your postings is here, on YOUR personal page.
Believe me Colleen, when I say that we are only trying to help you understand this place - but if you don't want us responding to your postings, just say so, and we'll ignore you - if you are sure that is what you want?
Key: Complain about this post
