Hi Jim...

Welcome to h2g2 I found you through following Alastair's page as he had posted to another conversation I'm in. (Does that make sense or am I waffling again?) I'll go and say, 'Hi' to him in a minute too.
I'm deackie and I'm one of the ACEs (assistant community editors), the merry band of volunteers who meet and greet new researchers and offer any help if it's needed. Looks like you're already settling in but I thought I'd offer some and s.
If you want to change your online name from 'Researcher 190787' to Jim (or anything else you want) you can go to 'Preferences' on the tool bar and change it. If you want a guide to some of the clubs and societies on h2g2, The H2G2 Post, our superb newspaper, has a page of useful and interesting links at A626069. Another frequently asked question is how to get smileys. <./>Smiley</.> This links to the smiley code page. So too does clicking on any smiley.
If you neeed to know anything else then feel free to ask. I look forward to chatting with you.

Hi deackie. Got your message. Thankyou. And thanks for the tea and doughnuts. I just love doughnuts with a nice cup of tea. Hope the tea was decaffeinated as I only drink decaffeinated tea. Hope I spelled that word right (decaffeinated). That's me with h2g2 for about three weeks now and I have enjoyed it. I have done a bit of moaning but that's me I love a good moan as you will find out in the future. Alastair got his message and he said Thanks as well and said he will write to you. I see you like folk dancing. I have done a bit of that myself. Alastair and I used to go to a lot of folk dance festivals and we loved it. You will also find out that I am hopeless at spelling. If you can read latin you will be fine if not "sorry". I will close now. It was nice talking to you and thanks for the advice you have given me. Be happy, Jim.

Thanks for the swift reply Of course the was decaff (it saves spelling if I abbreviate it), well your was decaff, I'm in need of the full caffeine boost I love folk dancing. I'm writing this rather quickly as I'm off to a Morris dancing practice in about 10 minutes and if I miss the bus I have to wait another hour.
I'm pleased you've enjoyed h2g2 so far, and moaning is good for the soul. I used to look after a really grumpy old man. He told me that he moaned so we knew he was still alive
I must dash anyway. TTYL

Hi Deackie.
Thought I would send you a wee message just to see how you are. Hope you got your bus to the morris dancing. As you can see I'm still hanging about h2g2. At the moment I'm sending info on tarot cards as I do readings and sometimes use them. There was people on line interested in them. I think it's on the No Subject section.I have also given myself a nickname as you will see. All the Best Jim. Be happy.

I'm pleased you've found h2g2 'sticky' I think I'm getting more unfit as time goes on, I seem to ache more each week after dancing. I found the perfect cure for my aching legs this week. I went to the pub afterwards. has wonderful healing properties
I'll apologise in advance for not replying very swiftly to postings. I'm very busy at the moment and supposed to be writing some essays too so I've had to stop myself coming online, else I'd get nothing done. I always reply eventually though.

Hi Deackie
Sorry I have not been on H2G2 for a wee while. The reason being I have been in hospital.I was in for 1 month. Did a silly thing had a nervous breakdown. It was very unpleasant. I'm feeling a bit better now still attending doctors but getting there. My partner Alastair has been brilliant. He keeps me moving and helps me a great deal. So here is hoping I will be back onto H2G2 a lot more. Be happy, Jim

I'm not on h2g2 much either anymore, too busy Pleased you're feeling a bit better. It's difficult trying to find normal life again, isn't it? It does return eventually though. How's Alistair?
I'm stressed up to my eyeballs trying to write essay due in Monday, revise for an exam on Monday and I'm working full time. I'm exhausted but at least I have a definite date when all the panic and stress will end. I am so looking forward to Monday evening
