William Peterson - incredible actor or good fortune?

Engrossed in CaptionX - see previous journal Entry - my perfect opportunity to be spontaneously witty and impress no-one whatsoever - I have Manhunter playing (again) on ITV in the background.

Now, it occurs to me that absolutely everything I have seen William Peterson in - to whit, Manhunter and CSI - he has been utterly, spellbindingly absorbing. However, looking him up on IMDB reveals him to be a bit of a recluse, and he hasn't really done much else of note that I can tell of.

What are we dealing with here? The best actor of the last 25 years, or some mad recluse who happens to be booked by exciting directors?

My favourite actor of these times seems to be devoting himself to the Incredibly Hulk these days smiley - erm

Nice to see someone who likes the original Manhunter anyway, cracking film smiley - ok

I've not actually seen Red Dragon, but judging by the tat that was Hannibal, I don't think I'll bother.

Those, oddly enough, were my exact thoughts. And I've not seen it either.

Nor me; Hannibal was a right let down smiley - sadface

Manhunter is great - I had that on DVD as soon as it came out and annoyed people by telling them Brian Cox is a better Lecter smiley - evilgrin
