hi there- primord (pamela) here- you do mean you are a fan of the tv series the avengers, dont you? cos I know there are comics- anyhoo- welcome ive only been on this one week sorta, and keep getting booted off! so hears hoping I hear from you soon!

Ooooh yes, I meant the TV series... I hope that's what you meant too. Absolutely the greatest thing I've ever seen, even if it has aged horribly. And Steed... and Mrs. Peel... I credit them with introducing me to champagne, old English wit and the use of an umbrella as a weapon. Oh, and to dressing nicely even when it's not absolutely necessary. What more cuold you ask for?

oh yes- i mean the tv prog, cos i know there is comics with the same name! Patrick Macnee is so cooool, and i love the pure style of everything about it- i just wish there were more of the ian hendry stories still around- they look good!

I quite like the comics as well Hulk,ant-man,wasp,Iron man 1960's mavel comics were just great.
But the Avengers was a very good show it started as just a cop show but turned into a strange mix of sci-fi and comic drama.
Emma Peel was were the show realy took of i liked the cybernauts and of course a lot of the writers were also writing for doctor who (Terence Dicks,Malcolm Hulke,Brian Clemens and Terry Nation)to name a few.I also liked the new avengers but the film was just so BAD it should never have been made.

ooof! that Avengers film was SHOCKING! a total joke- what was ralph fiennes like? he was an embarrassment! the day it came out I was about to go and see it, and to pass the time i went into HMV- they had a box set of Real avengers, so needless to say I spent the money on those and didnt go to the film- thank godness! i think the New Avengers is great as well- I love Patrick in anything- The Howling, Sherlock Holmes etc
