Well, I'd got bored with the previous tag, and world events combined with the continuing homelessness saga seemed to make an end of the world quote appropriate 
We'll see how things go in Um Kassa over the next few weeks- they're *supposed* to be holding elections, let's see what the Shrub does if he doesn't like the outcome...

Hey, the whole world and even Al Gore now admit that the Thief in Chief rigged the Florida election. I would think that rigging an election where you have a bigger sphere of influence (lawyers guns and money) ought to be easy...

Hmm, well, sort of. The survey's been done, and the mortage lender wants some work done on the house before lending us the full amount. It isn't much, and the estate agents are getting some tame builders in to assess it. So it's all progressing, nothing stalled, which is good, but it's still not there yet. I guess we're looking at another 4-8 weeks.
