Hey there. I noticed that you posted to my Church page. The church has been very dead for a while but I am happy to add you to the list. I notice that you are Canadian, and I have to tell you that I am a great supporter of Canada. I am from Utah, but I have visited Canada once and loved it. I feel for your loss of music. I once lost about 700 songs in one go when my hard drive crashed. Now I make cd's of them all for archival purposes.
At any rate, I am glad to make your aquaintance.
Marv

Alas, Many things on H2G2 are indeed passed.
I still enjoy many a brownie and will follow the ten suggestions.(Its not that hard)
I also love sporks. I encountered one in New York one time but they are rare in Canada. (Nope no KFC in Canada has them *tear)Thats how I found the Church, whilst looking for Sporks.
I am pretty new to h2g2 I found it after looking for information on Douglas Adams. I love It here! I go on everyday!
Nice meeting you!
Cheers,
Elle

Having formerly worked at KFC I cannot imagine not having them at the KFC's there. I think that I still have a box of 500 that I stole from my store when i was in high school.
I know that it is sterotyping, but are you much of a hockey fan? I am a huge hockey supporter. That may be why I like Canada so much. In fact I am at this moment wearing my Team Canada hat. I missed out on seeing any of the Olympic games even tho they were held in my own city.

I love hockey!
Especially Team Canada (Both Male and Female Teams!) I watched both Gold medal games Yea! I used to play a couple years ago but now I play Rugby. I was soo proud when we won.
I like the NHL too. I am a Buffalo Sabres fan and I Like the Avalanche too. I dislike the Leafs and Canadians I`m not sure why.
I liked the Nordiques *tear I went to Quebec to ski ( ) around Christmas and they are still upset about the Nordiques!
Guess what? I just became an Ace!?!? Quite by suprise. I just checked my page and there was the badge !Suprise!.
I wonder why they chose me. I have no idea. Oh well I like being an Ace.
Cheers,
Elle

The Avalanche are my favourite team and the Sabres are my second fav team in teh east.
I was a nordiques fan as well way back when.. It was even better when they moved within 500 miles of me
May I ask what province you are in? I am going to guess Ontario if you like the Sabres.

Congrats on becoming an ACE. I used to be one a long time ago, but that has been about a year and a half or better. I am now just a Guru. I guess being a geek has some benefit.

Thanks!
Yea I live in Ontario, right by the border so there is always a conflict between the Leafs fans and the Sabres fans at school. Especially when play-offs time comes! The Sabres beat Ottawa the other day, so there is SOME hope of them making the play-offs but its Iffy.
You are a Guru Eh? Very cool! I`ve heard of them but never actually met a Guru. *Stares in Awe* Lol.

Be not in awe. I am just zis guy you know?
I have a good friend in Buffalo that got me rooting for the sabres. I was dismayed when thye lost the cup on an illegal shot.
Oh Ce'st la vie (or however you spell it. French is not my language you understand) I hope that my Av's can keep it together during the playoffs and I hope that they beat the Redwings into the last century. Not that I despise the wings or anything. At the moment I am just happy that Boston is doing so well. I have great hopes for them.

I remember that, not too long ago the Sabres came Sooo close I wasn`t going to have to hear any more "They have never won the Stanley cup" ! It was so sad when they lost. I was born and raised a Sabres fan and could never think of not likeing the sabres. But my neighbour is a big Avalanche fan and he got me on their side. I think the Red Wings "can" win I don`t want them to though its no fun when a team you dislike wins. But they have a good shot at it.

While I know (in my mind) that the wings are likely to win the cup this year, I hope in my heart that my Av's repeat as champions. I think that they have a valid chance, and there is an outside chance that Peter Forseberg (One of my all time favourite players) can come back for the playoffs. His presence on the ice gives them the scoring power that they need to make another run deep into the post season.
Ah, enough about Hockey for the night. Now a little about myself (a topic that I think I can safely call my self an expert in).
I work with computer networks for fun and profit, live in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, North America, Western Hemisphere, The World, Sol System, The Universe (can you tell that I am a little out of it today? I blame work), like the books that spawned this site, and am a virgo. Anything else is just details.
What's new in your fair land?

Well I live in A small town by lake Erie and Niagara Falls. I like history and I LOVE anything James Bond. (The Books are better than the movies.) and that sort of spreads into me loving anything to do with Espionage. I like to write novels, mostly action adventure and Sci-fi.I`ve read the "Trilogy" eleven times and counting. (I plan on reading it 42 tmes.)
I also sing and play the flute. I have a band with my friends called Neon Yellow Socks.(NYS)And I play soccer and Rugby.
I`m in grade 10, and a Scorpio, and I am on a Trivia team Called Reach For the Top. Which is sadly higher on the popularity chain than my schools cheerleading team. (Cheerleaders being the most made fun of people at my school)
When Im not at School, Work or Rugby I`m on the computer.. Always.
Cheers,
Elle

I agree about the Bond books being better than the films. I have old copies of all of Ian Flemmings works to play with. I am also a fan of technothriler novels (Tom Clancy) along with scifi/fantasy. The only writing I do is sappy love poetry for my girlfriend anymore. I used to be rather prolific. Alas I have not the time to write as much now as I would like.
Singing I have done, but I have no talent to use instruments at all. I am on a computer for a living and thta translates to my being on a computer at home too because I have nothing better to do.
Well, off to work for now. TTYL.

I love my computer (Although I often threaten to get a Mac) but I don`t enjoy computer programming very much. I`m not sure why, I think its because I don`t full understand it yet. I`m taking some Tech classes next year and I hope to learn more about it.
I would be perfectly happy just to browse h2g2 all day, I think I learn more here then at school, but school is just more practical.
In my opinion nobody has a bad singing voice, they just have to find their range. I know people who cannot sing a note under normal conditions but get them together with a group of friends and all is well. They still don`t sound all that good but their singing is wonderful.
Ten (canadian) bucks says you like to sing, I think everybody likes singing "Yellow Submarine" whilst walking down a street with there ten closest friends, at the top of thier lungs!
I know I do!
Cheers,
Elle

You might be right about my liking to sing. I have been in four of five chiors, but I do not like singing alone.
Speaking of singing (bad or otherwise) I just got home from a bar that featured karaoke. I was not drinking tonight (I went to hang out with my cousin and one of her cowrkers) so did not get up to sing. I have been known to get a little tipsy and belt out whatever sounds good at that moment.
