I thought this a better forum to express my gratitude for the bravery it must take to make public such personal issues as you have in the 'Three girls' and 'Girl three' accounts. I was unaware of the details regarding the motivations involved behind such decisions, but after reading I was left to wonder. Not in a sexual way but more of a why and how fashion.

To that end I sought to enlighten myself on this subject as I hate ignorance and ignorant is exactly what I was. I found a special on the Discovery channel, one that in other times I would have 'surfed' on by. It was devoted solely to the female to male gender change, including interviews with individuals as well as couples. They documented the persecusions as well as the sucess, the effects on the families and how that was dealt with, the medical procedures were discussed, as well as the hormone theropies involved. They even documented a before and after case from the initial decision right through to the individual commencing life "officialy" as a man.

All in all, I came away with a better understanding and more importantly, a new respect for the courage and determination behind such a life changeing event. To the writer of 'Three girls', my hat is off to you sir. I see what courage is required for something as drastic as this, and you have balls as big as any man . And to 'Girl three', you are as openminded an individual as is seldom seen, the world could do with more of such.

Your contributions have enlightened me and made me a better person for it, and if that was your intention to begin with I'd say you suceeded. Thank you and I hope to read more from you both in the future no matter the content.

Seriously, I am deeply touched that my story has had this much of an impact. Knowing that it's helped you think is one of the deepest compliments you can give.

The choice about whether to be out on in is a difficult one. I know that by being 'out' people's knowledge could be improved. But when I'm out this seems to define my life to others, rather than just being part of it.
