But back to the subject of rain...it only rains about 10-20 days a year around here. Now, granted, this is a drought year, but droughts are more the rule than the exception. I think in the last 10 years there have been 3 or 4 years that weren't considered drought years.

Too hot. It rains a lot here. Floods every winter now...we have about 3-6 weeks (at the most) of warm weather, and then it cools down again. Which is a pain, because as much as I like to wear wooly thick clothes, there's nothing like just wearing a vest top and a skirt/trousers and not being cold. I am absolutely FREEZING today!

Well, imagine weather where you get to wear clothes like your vest top and skirt/trousers every day. I've known people to go years without ever having to wear long trousers.
And, since it never snows here, you never get to have fights.

Doesn't snow here either. Well. It tries to. But doesn't get very far. Just rain, and cold, and rain and mild and rain and cold and rain and mild.
CA is *far* too hot. I expect if you visited the UK you would think you were in Siberia!!!!!!

I wouldn't go so far to say that all of California is too hot. It only gets really hot down south, and inland. Near the coast, it doesn't usually get uncomfortably hot. The ocean keeps things cooler in the day and warmer at night. I could do with some more rain, though.
The best job in the world would be doing the TV news weather reports in LA. You get a six-figure income, you're on for 30 seconds a day, and whenever someone asks you what the weather will be like, you say, "Nice. Back to you."

Not to mention the hair. Big hair for ladies, slick hair for gents.
I get uncomfortably hot around 25-30 degrees C. Methinks you might have a higher tolerance?

No, you'll be comfortable most of the year. It only gets really hot between August and October. That's another weird part of California; the hottest part of the year is in October, after summer is gone and done.
Today's expected high temperature is 21 degrees C. The low is 10 degrees. No rain expected, and only a few clouds in the sky. I'm sure anyone would like to be in this weather.
