Okay then (this loses something in the telling)....

Do you remember the first speech to the crowd, talking about genetic engineering and that sort of thing - do you think you're ready to be God? That's *really* important.

It's the third testament and judgement day, but it's not judgement day for mankind, but judgement day for God. The third testament is that humans don't need God, and need to come of age and work things out for themselves. Whatshername works it out and invites Christopher Eccleston around to her house for a last supper - pasta laced with arsnic rat poison or something. She explains it to him - when he dies, God dies, so does Satan, and all the angels and devils. He eats the food and dies.

It then cuts to a strange documentary-style thing for a bit. Everyone in the world feels God die, and knows that he was once, but has now gone. They're now responsible for themselves - the third testament is whatever they decide it is. God is, literally, dead.

Interesting. But not enough to make me want to watch the repeat. It's an old story, and an old concept, and it's been rehashed so many times. Call me cynical if you wish...
