What's that like then? I am always faintly impressed by people who speak the same language as me to the same quality, when it isn't their first language. I could barely master French at school...even ended up saying *J'habite dans une piscine* in the Oral...

Dutch are a lot more hospitable and speak English with you. but a lot of French laugh at you and refuse to speak to you in other languages than French.
