Hey, those are al cool bands. COncerning nirvana, they were great. ill say that first. Ive noticed something tho. But ALL THE RIFFS ARE JUST THE MAIN MELODY REPEATED. which isnt to say that its not good, it rocks, but the riffs arent so creative.

Not all of them, surely? No, cnat be bothered to go back and listen to the Nirvana essentials. If they are (which Ive never really noticed)...its probably due to Kurts music writing techniques. He never gave a flying poop about the words...just used to scribble down lines in a notebook and put them where they fit. So it might not be that the musics not creative...its the way Kurt sang...but then Nirvana were completely overhyped, oversold and suffocated quite literally to death...so who cares? Its the source it comes from...not the river that matters...
How Buddhist of me.
Shocking!

They can be compared to KoRn vaguely. As Jonathan Davis said, "some of the singing ont our debut album was so gay I cant believe people liked it. I guess it was just so new that they loved it..." I think Nirvana was the same way. So new that everyone liked it.

Um. No. I disagree there. KoRn's first album is great. Got no complaints there at all. Nirvana was an amazingly powerful raw band...it was just all ruined because it was too dirty for the mainstream. They werent technically very good...unlike Tool, Deftones, Manson, NIN etc...but there was soul there. But the hype/marketing all of it. BLEURGH. Ruined it. I cant personally listen to Smells like Teen Spirit or In Bloom. It just reminds me why he killed himself...
