Yo Windy. I see your late arrivals thread seems to have been hijacked.

I'm still using the company PC at the moment, which means that incoming email is fine (downloads onto this hard disk, so I'm in control) but outgoing is stored on the hub (so I'm not sending personals). This stuff is OK 'cos it posts directly to the web.

Haven't seen or heard from Spud lately .. .. hope he's OK.

Hi Alan.

Yeah, I'm not too happy about that; with any luck one of the Guide's guides will pop in and help me remove the items in question.

I'm reliably informed that Spud's been poorly and off work; a rotten cold trying to be flu or something. Latest news is that daytime tv was making him suicidal so he's back at the grindstone. Of course, he's not functioning very well as his nose keeps running and everything grinds to a halt! Bit like me really, I haven't been around the mbs for a while, lack of inspiration. Let us know when you're back in hailing distance.

Runny custard? Revolting thought

Collected replacement replacement card for new PC this today. Won't fit it tonight 'cos only just back from Jazz Band, and the bottle-opener has done its stirling work already. Audition night tomorrow (Karen), so I reckon to back up and running Sat. with any luck. No Music School - Easter hols!

Did you ever come across that Suze stuff? It occurs to me that gention might be of the same family as violets? If they're related to crocus (from whence cometh saffron) could that be the root of the torrid yellowy-orange colour?

I'm off to look at the boards.

No, I haven't come across Suze and thanks to you I plan to avoid it. StErling research effort, I must say. Gentian - alpine plant; Gentiana lutea is the Yellow Gentian (could this be a clue?)not related to Violas/Violets or Pansies - different family.

Good luck to Karen, btw. I'll be out on the pitch again this weekend, a little friendly international against the Principality. Maybe see you Sunday/Monday.

Hi windy, you ok? I have not seen you arround for a few days. I had a good day for me, loads of posts, sound simple does it not. Anyway just checking on a chum. Particularly as this kind of friendship is new to most of us and with my spelling reading between the lines is a tad difficult. Tried e-mail but it got chucked back,so tiddy widdy bit concerned

Hi Spud,
I'm fine, been a bit side-tracked by a rugby match/social weekend (we were hosting a visiting side who party hard!). I'll drop you an e-mail soon so we can check out the system for any problems.
Cheers,
Windy
