I'm also an ACE so it is my duty to welcome newcomers. But the thing about welcoming newcomers is that it's fun. I think that being an ACE is the easiest volunteer scheme, as all you have to is have fun welcoming newcomers. And that's why I want to become a Guardian Angel. It's about having fun. I didn't put this on my welcome this time, since I realised it wasn't needed, but I usually say that h2g2 is for your enjoyment, and if you're not enjoying yourself, we're doing something wrong. And I can already see that I will enjoy being a Guardian Angel.
I hope you [keep] enjoy[ing] your time on H2G2.

Most of the time I'm here (too much, some say, but it'd be more if RL didn't get in the way all the time) I spend on having fun, rather than contributing to the guide...
... but I know I'm not alone!
Have you checked Wowbagger's cartoons in the weekly h2g2 Post? They're usually about h2g2, and quite hilarious sometimes!
Hang on... I'll get you an URL to one I really like...
