Hi Andy! (it's me, Mina, in disguise. smiley - winkeye)

I haven't seen you about online much, but I thought I'd let you know that this week's topic is about gardening. I'm going to post something to it, but I thought you'd like to know it was there in case you fancy posting anything. A668072

Also, are you still interested in trying Chimes one weekend?

Hi Mina,

Yes I'm still about, sort of. I check in every day or so to see if anything's happened but it all seems to have lapsed, which is fine because I'm a bit busy with other things atm.

I didn't even know there was such a concept as a weekly topic, but I'll be interested in anything to do with gardens and nature. Ok, I subscribed to the calendar entry, I'll read the backlog some time.

Yes, I'm still interested in going to Chimes. Almost anytime really, whatever would suit you and blueshark, or anybody else.
Frankie tentatively suggests next weekend 2/3 March, but you may be thinking of much further into the future...

Hi guys,

a trip to Chimes (whatever it is, some kind of 'cider-restaurant'?) would be great. As Andy said, I suggested this next weekend, because I'm off work on the Saturday (though I would still normally be able to go after work, I finish at 6:00). But any time is okay really. Just a question of organising it.

Are we going to invite anyone else?

Frankie

Eat in the bar, perhaps.

I'm not so keen on those individual pies with huge puffy tops myself. but no doubt they have other wholesome fare.
Has anybody worked out how to get there by travelcard?

Blues Shark - For people who like this sort of thing, then this is just the sort of thing they'll like

Churton Street runs between Belgrave Road and Tachbrook Street (off Vauxhall Bridge Road.)
Tube to Victoria or Pimlico, onto Vauxhall Bridge Road (towards Vauxhall Bridge if from Victoria, towards Victoria from Pimlico) Tachbrook Street is on the right hand side of VBR from Victoria (the left from Pimlico). Churton Street is just off the beginning of Tachbrook Street.
If this need clarification, let me know. smiley - ok

Perfectly clear thanks smiley - smiley

That's about 1 hour or less from here if train timing is good, so well within range. I might think of something to do in C London in the afternoon, and then go straight there.

We should probably sort out a time then.
I can probably be there by 8. My son goes to stay with his dad at 6.30. If I leave straight away I can get there between 7.30 and 8. smiley - smiley

I should think that suits us fine. See you then.

I'd like to invite 'Evil Scientist' if I can remember the alternative h2g2 name. That's someone I chatted to in the Moon under Water, from Scotland, female, does genetic research. Ring any bells?

I thought it would be better to shift any aftermath conversation over to the Chimes article where I've posted some comments on the ciders.
