h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

It's been one of those fantastic weekends, where you look back and smile.

A good kobojutsu session, where we revised a couple of weapons and started on our next - sai are tricky to use but eventually I'll look like Gabrielle!

Into town to run the gauntlet of clothes shopping. We managed to get most of the generic stuff (new jeans and jumpers, plus a smart/casual dress for me as I own absolutely nothing that fits the bill at the moment), but failed to get this years wedding-attending dress as the shops we mostly selling off last years' stock, all of which is hideous. Even Laura Ashley was only selling ugly dresses. Still, a good haul for a couple of hours work.

We then decided to have a night out, in - we cooked, got dressed up and had dinner over candlelight before retiring to the front room to watch Sabrina, which despite being a romantic film was actually rather good.

Today we mastered the art of the spray gun to magnificent effect - rather than taking an hour for each stone, we did the stones, giant stone and altar in three hours, using less than half a tin of paint. Just splendid - we thought it was going to take us several full weekends to get this done.

Now just to cook tea and have a leisurely afternoon. Perfect.

Oh, weekends, weekends...
We should have them more often, you know!
