A the mo I'm at Digby Halls. I've got a house sorted for next year with 3 friends. Its gonna be great to cook my own food instead of digby crappy-food

I was at Villiers in my first year. Spent most of my time in Giblet Murray bar, or over at Stamford Hall visiting freinds but didn't really have much to do with anyone at Digby.

Yes, I was catered too- the food isn't better at any of the other halls, take some comfort in that!

Where is this house? I'm living just off Queen's Road at the moment. It's a nice enough area, close to shops and 10 minutes stroll from uni.

The house is just at the back of homebase so I'll be near to the uni and close to where you r living now

Just off Welford Road, then, yeah?

It's not bad round there. What's the rent like? I'm on £45/wk, which isn't too bad for Clarendon Park.

Enjoying your course/ Leicester so far?

the rent is £45 a week, which is better than some of the other houase3s we loked at.
I'm luvin the course so far, and Leicester is so much nicer than Luton.

Post 13

TeaKay

Yeah, same as mine, not too bad for the area.

I take it you come from Luton originally then? I don't come from so far away- home is about 30 miles south.

Got your exam times yet? They were put up today... or are you one of the lucky buggers who doesn't have any? Got two of mine down, the other 6 were no where to be seen... bloody physics department!

What do you like doing when you're not up to your elbows in geology exams?

I still have to chech my exam times, thanx for reminding me. but I think I have 3 this time.
Well, mostly we watched films. But sometimes we make little crazy films with my friends digital camera using soft toys as actors. And yes, my block is the crazy block!! hehehe!smiley - laugh

Only three? Lucky you. Most other people doing maths only have two or three, but me, sensibly being on a joint honours course, I have eight. EIGHT?!?!?!?! There's no sense or justice in the world...

Films are cool. I love films... I have quite a collection of DVDs. Seen Shaun of the Dead? Such a funny film, and whenever I hear Don't Stop Me Now (quite often, as a major Queen fan) I just want to beat up zombies with pool cues.

Being /in/ films would be so much better, though. If you need another actor for your crazy films, I'm available. I may not be a toy but I'm certainly soft.

I haven't seen Shaun of the Dead, but I've heard great things about it! Will probably be watching Resident Evil tonight. There seem to be a lot of zombie movie fans in my block. personally I'm more of a sci-fi fan myself. And Queen are just great aren't they?! I'm a bit of a fan too!
I'll keep you informed of any new films we make. there are 4 now and they just get better each time. Well probably make more after the exams. my three exams are all in the first week of exam period, so I'll have 3 weeks afterwards of free time. YAY!

It's a great film, I recommend it smiley - smiley

I saw Resident Evil at the flicks last year- was a good film, and they left the ending open for a sequel, which is a good thing smiley - smiley

My first one is on the friday of the first week, 2nd is the monday after that. Could all change though- physics still haven't go their timetable sorted.

If you find yourself free after the exams, we should meet up some time- it'd be my first H2G2 meet smiley - biggrin

Yeah, that would be great to meet up. I've ben to 1 meet before, when me and Cybercat met upm with 2 other researchers. It was great fun!

Resident evil was good, but the CGI monster didn't quite look right. It didn't seem to fit onto the background. But otherwise it wasn't a bad film.

I really nhave to start revision soon, but I always seem to leave it till the last minute!silly me!

I don't know all that many people on here, but yeah, would be good to meet up- always like to meet new people.

I'm a last minute reviser too- seems I just can't do it without the pressure of knowing there's an exam tomorrow morning...
