Hej!
Help!
I know you're probably quite busy - as usual - but if you'd have the time for some input regarding limiting certain freedoms (like freedom of speech) in order to make life easier for all of us, or something like that...
Any which way, I'd be very interested in seeing your take on this subject:

Hi Titania
I'm just catching up with the discussion at the Atelier - and hadn't arrived at the bit you have linked to.
While reading I was thinking of how our legal system is. I believe we have a law that prohibits the same as what you describe in the post.
Yes, I am busy, actually too busy to be here - which is the reason I am here .
But I need to collect my thoughts and investigate a bit more to say anything of solid value.
What - with our Mohammed drawings and all (Only joking).
I'll get back to it -
How are you doing otherwise?

Speaking of the Mohammed drawings - I'm really at Swedish 'artist' Lars Vilks. I think he should just leave things alone, but instead he seems intents to 'stir the pot':

There is such a thing as freedom of expression (which is his reason, he claims, for this musical), and there is 'common sense' and maybe 'decency'....

In my opinion decency is the key word. In the article I don't see a point other than that of provocation, and to test again-again that Vilks can go to the limit and maybe beyond to 'prove' freedom of expression. But why?
I don't see an option to discuss ethics or humanity or existence taking the point of departure in the Koran.

Hi Titania
Sorry, I've been very busy. And I'm behind on the blog in the salon.
I like to be coherent and well informed when I contribute in the salon and most other places. But I haven't been able to be coherent for weeks.
The subject is much too important - to me - to write a post off hand (do you understand the term 'with the left hand'?).
And now I have to rescue Sig. S's stuff on the old harddisc. He doesn't know how - and refuses to learn.

Mini-meet in August in Lund, Sweden to see Milla perform in a play - do you think you can come?

Hi Ti
Hati made me aware of it yesterday. We were chatting on skype. I'm attending a course as a leader of a local radio on the 21st and 22nd of August. It has to do with digital signals and how to get the equipment etc. updated, so I cannot miss it.
But the course ends early afternoon, so maybe.
I haven't been on hootoo for weeks and weeks. I cannot seem to find the time to dig in and be a part.

Where is the course taking place? Copenhagen?

No, it is in Vejle - Jutland, so maybe I'll 'just' settle for the mini/micro meet in the evening. It all depends...as told in the other thread.
