Yes, i do enjoy it very much! So many nice people.
Well, i was grounded from everything except school. I guess it was kind of the honor system.
Well, alot has happened, right now im in Washington state and how we got here is kind of a long storysmiley - tongueout
What happened was that some people found our house on a realtors website (i guess it was left on there from a long time ago when we had been trying to sell our house) So they offered to buy our house. My parents saw it as a chance to move to washington, back to our relatives (we moved from washington 10 years ago) So we sold our house and now here we are looking for a house.
smiley - sorry kind of a long postingsmiley - erm
So..yea...
So how are you doing?
I got to go eat breakfast, so ill talk to you later smiley - smiley

Hi bubbles smiley - smiley

I cannot remember, if I told you? I'm 54, and my youngest child is 17½ (the oldest 33). My grandson 4½ is very fine. His parents decided to separate in the early summer, and they will have finalised all the economical and practiacal issues in a few weeks' time.

They are very sensible about it, taking care of the child first and foremost - and supporting each other, financially and practically - just the separation after my brain and heart. smiley - smiley

I'd better go back to my deadlines. Some time during December I hope to write much more.

Thats good, the child should always be first and foremost. Im sorry if im intruding, but did you not have such a separation? Again, if i am intruding, i apologize.
I forgot, your a freelance journalist right?
Hope your haveing a great day!

My husband (Sig. S.) and I have four children - one each from earlier marriages and two together 33,30,20,17.

My daughter 33 has one son 4½, Sig. S's son 30 has a son (almost five) and a daughter (almost 4).

Sig. S. and I have been together for 24 years, now.

You are not intruding.

The two of us had very different separations, long stories, but we both have kept our eyes on the children involved and tried to do our best for them - sometimes in spite of the other parent.

I think my daughter and ex-son-in-law are working really well, sensibly and friendly together to not hurt their child. When he goes from one parent to the other they spend time together the three of them - going to the zoo, the cinema or having supper together, so the grandson is not treated as a parcel and they function as joint parents still, but are two people who just not are b/g-friends anymore. (difficult and probably not very well constructed sentences smiley - erm)

I'm having good, but very busy days.

How are you doing?

Another new day. Sorry 'bout last night.

Awww, i like little children. They bring such happiness and laughter. smiley - biggrin

Wow, 24 years, thats pretty awesome.

That sounds like they are doing the right thing. So many parents do not think that what they are doing affects the child, or they just dont really care. That can ruin so many promising children.
No, it was an okay sentance smiley - laugh

Hmmm...busy, sounds familiar.

Im okay, i just have very busy and trying days, but they are sprinkled with good things. My parents are trying to figure out whether to move to washington or wisconsin and the choices come like peaks on a rollar coaster. First we decide to stay, then we decide to move back. Very stressfull smiley - smiley. But, we get to see our relatives that i havent seen in 10 years or i havent seen at all, which is pretty neat.
Today though, i am feeling quite happy and energized.

So hows your day?

About divorce with children involved. A Norvegian psychologist has written ten rules for 'how to make the divorce the least traumatic for children'.

Daughter and s-i-l had a look at those before they told my grandson about separating.

Today I'm glad I'm too old to have children. So many things you do or don't do as a parent affect the child. Luckily the same goes for the good and right stuff as well. smiley - biggrin.

I haven't yet attempted to figure out how many hours we are apart - right now it is 16:15 here.

I have a lot of miscellaneous journalistic assignments at the moment, so my days are confusing and I spend a lot of time writing lists and checking up on them - smiley - seniorsmiley - erm.

It does sound stressful about the plans for moving - but I've always thought it were best to look forward to something new, figure out the advantages and possibillities, be happy for a decision and make the best out of it. You can always make a new decision if that is nescessary in the long run. smiley - smiley

Back to work

Thats very good advice. Yes, there are alot of advantages and possibilities out here, alot more than in Wisconsin. Yes...I think i will follow your advice, very sound advice. Thank yousmiley - smiley
Ok, well, good luck with your work then.

Good morning to you smiley - smiley - here it is already dark. The sun set something like an hour ago. The days have become very short. During the summer we have long hours of light - a few days almost untill midnight.

And now I have an hour in my office before I have to catch my bus...

During summer it is quite difficult to persuade small children to go to sleep at 19 or 20 - because they can see with their own eyes that it is still daytime. smiley - biggrin

A couple of years ago I was at a conference in the middle of Norway, much further North than Denmark, and only half an hour after midnight it turned to dusk. It never really got pitch dark. Amazing.

On the other hand they don't have very much daylight during winter. One of my hootoo friends from Estonia - as north as Stockholm, Sweden - suffers from SAD, a kind of depression from lack of light smiley - erm

Now I'll go and cook supper. My son M. (17) is praticing piano - he has a (tiny) concert in a few days..

See you smiley - ok

I bet, smiley - laugh it is already hard to get them to bed even when it is dark smiley - biggrin

Oh wow. That would be horrible if you had to go half a year with no night. There would be no stars for 6 months smiley - sadface.
Wow. I think i wouldbe pretty depressed if there was no night smiley - smiley.

Ok, well, have a nice supper. Good luck to your son. Hope all goes wellsmiley - smiley

I'll talk to you later!

I'm a bit confused. Where are you now and where were you last time we spoke?

When I know I'd better look the place (state) up on a map to see your placing compared to Europe. I've never been to USA - but have here on hootoo seen a lot of USian researchers' photographs of different parts from the south to the north. (Am I supposed to write south and north with capital letters? - I cannot remember the grammatical rules).

The year after next the Norvegian organisation og freelance journalists might arrange a conference in Murmansk, Russia, way north just beside the Norvegian and Finnish border - they have midnight sun during summer. http://www.tvmurman.com/live/

Well, if you mean last time as in last april, I was in Wisconsin, and now I am in Washington. If you just mean last time as in last time, I'm still in Washington smiley - winkeye. Washington is west of Wisconsin. If you were to drive straight there, it would take 36 hours smiley - biggrin. Washington is on the west coast at the top corner.
Does that help any? I hope it does.

Hmm, I don't think your supposed to capitolize it, unless if you were to be talking about it as a group, like in the civil war. like, "The South won the war." That is how I understood that rule to be. smiley - smiley

Wow. That will be an interesting site smiley - biggrin. That would be so strange. The latest the light has ever stayed where I have lived is 9 o'clock and maybe 10 if we are lucky smiley - biggrin.
Oh wow, what is that a picture of? Murmanslk, Russia?

Well, i have to go eat breakfast, so I'll talk to you later smiley - biggrin

That is a webcam in Murmansk - cool, isn't it? Found it via google as I was unsure where exactly Murmansk were.

I'll have a look at my maps when I get home. In Danisk a book of maps featuring all the countries in the world is called an atlas - ok, I'll subcome my laziness and look it up in English - the same word, as I thought. smiley - smiley

Hurries on with w*rk...smiley - erm

Talk to you later.
