Hello and welcome to h2g2--we're glad to have you here!
My name is Jeff and I'm one of the ACEs (Assistant Community Editors) here at h2g2. It looks like you have your user space set to "plain text," but you're using the GuideML tags of "" and "". If this is the case, its a common mistake and easy enough to fix. You can click the "Edit Page" button on your user space (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U187604); on that page, near the bottom, it should say "Plain Text" and "GuideML" next to a button saying "Change style". If you click on the dot to the left of GuideML, then click the "Change style" button, it should fix the problem. If you need any clarification with that, let me know (explaining technical things is not something I'm terribly good at ).
If you need any help or have any questions, don't hesitate to leave me a message on my user space (by clicking on my name above) or respond to this posting by using the "reply" button below.
Also, feel free to check out my list of places to visit around h2g2 at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A579431 You might also want to take a look at The Post Page of Useful Links at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A616718 (courtesy of h2g2's own online weekly newspaper).
I also noticed that you inquired elsewhere about playing the Hitchhiker's game online before buying it. If you're talking about the text adventure version from Infocom, you can find a link to it at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A662753
Welcome aboard and enjoy the experience.
Jeff
