As an exiled Scot myself (at least of a sort, my dastardly parents moved just *before* I was born thereby denying my right to claim true Scottishness) I know what you mean about the lack of Lorne Sausage.
Guess what, I was wandering round my local Sainsburys the other day and what did I find in the freezer section. A large bag of the stuff! I've had it for brekky three days on the trot.
Keep an eye out in the big supermarkets, you'll be surprised. They've sold tattie scones for at least the last few years now and Irn Bru made a breakthru about 10 years ago. Now when willt he deep fried pizza make it down here...

I think that you can still lay claim to being a Scot since it's in the blood and all!
Thanks very much for the tip re:Lorne Sausage I will have a wee shuftie round my local Tesco and if there is no joy there then I will make a special trip to Sainsbury's. Ooh I could have done with some on Sunday morning that's for sure.
One of my local newsagents once asked me if Irn-Bru was a health drink (!) as only three other people bought it and always on Fridays. After I recovered from my shock I revealed to him the special relationship between alcohol, Irn-Bru and Scottish people!

Thanks, you probably won't be surprised to hear that I do in fact
Particularly as my older brother was born in Glasgow, how can he be but not me?
Usually this results in me getting horrible abuse by those with genuine scottish accents however. I find they're more friendly once they've seen me supporting Scotland (or indeed anyone else) against England
Irn Bru, a health drink? You should tell him it's the Scotch that is medicinal
