PBS: is the public broadcasting system - closely related to NPR (national public radio)
HP-41: an excellent calculator made by hewlett packard corp. it has a single line alpha numeric display,
and 4kb of battery backed ram - since it has a sort of risc/rpn (reduced instruction set / reverse polish notation)
architecture, that 4kb goes a long way.
the unit accepts up to 4 plug in modules - on of my favorites is the clock/calander module. - it wakes up the
calculator and can make it run any stored program.
unfortunatley, hp just announced that they are closing their calculator division.
search slashdot for the article and excuses - which are like armpits (everyone has a couple and they often stink)
funny that the calulator business is how hp got their statt
