Noticed you left a message on my Space. It's good to see I'm not the only Guard player out here. What regiments have you got? It's Valhallans for me. And a few Blood Angels. Hahaha...death to the enemies of humanity etc...

Incidentally, have you read any of the GW novels. I can really recommend First and Only. Gotta go now. Byeee.....

I've not read any GW novels. I tried to get into some of the authors around there but they didn't really suit me.
My troops are largely a combination of... I've forgotten! *weep* I know what they look like but I can't remember the names! My first platoon was the desert people, which I painted bright yellow with gold bits running down. At my local store, they became famed as the 'Flourescent Brigade'. I very much preferred the ones who looked like real modern troops, mainly because, well, they looked most like modern troops. I couldn't really imagine some of the others in a real battle scene, standing out like a sore thumb in a world of fingers. I bought a whole set of sentinels, and sorted my Necromunda models (those with lasguns) into another platoon, with heavy support from the Heavies with juve assistants. I ended up with a decent-sized army. I was never any good at painting, though. Or sticking them together. I've got a Demolisher with a big gap in the front, and pieces of two chimeras. My models just never stayed in the sort of pristine condition others managed.
My brother had chaos marines, which was very frustrating for me. The troops he would buy had about twice the points value of mine, so his army was always much bigger than mine. What infuriated me was his habit of buying models and then not using them. When I bought a model, I rushed home, glued it together and spent a while working out whewre it would fit in my army. My brother _still_ has chaos marine bikes and terminators which he hasn't even got out of the bloody boxes yet!smiley - grrsmiley - grrsmiley - grr

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
