*nudge, nudge*
Have you got the list, or do you want me to do it?

If you're still online after Mina has made her decision - how about cutting what's left of the cakes into slices and offer them to the visitors?

I think you might find this gadget useful in the future - but you can only add it to your user page if you decide to use GuideML...

If you want to learn a bit more about GuideML then I and Kristina have tried to put together an introductionary entry: A690518

Oh my poor dear Titania a huge bunch of red s.
What a headache I must have given you last night!!. I could'nt find you and I never thought of looking at the page that we are on now. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.!!
Anyway, all I can say is that even if I did not find you at exactly 8.30 BST we did make contact and thanks to you the evening was a huge success. Congratulations on being the busiest conversations. Even if the Cake Competition was slightly truncated!. The Beer Tent was an absolute hoot and I have been laughing this morning reading it.
I have downloaded the Spicing up your user page. But the other lead that you give me seems to give me lots of my conversations with others. Is that what it is supposed to do. what I eventually did last night after looking for you on every thread I could think of, except this one!! was to send you a message, and then sent Mina a message and sit and wait in the Cake Competition Tent for you. I guessed that would be best.
AS far as I can remember you are going to be out today. I have told my friends that I shall be back in the Pickled Tent at 8.30 BST. I hope that is Is there anything else that I should be doing? Please let me know, and I shall look at this thread first and then go to the Pickled Tent.
I read your homepage yesterday. Loved your holiday visit!!.
With a big dear Titania and congratulations again both on your wonderful organising and also on how young you look!!.

The conversation window is a very handy tool - click on 'Mark all read' at the top and leave the list of conversations open in a separate window - next time someone post in one of the conversations that you are subscribed to it will pop up at the top of the list with a different background colour than the other conversations! It should also be self-refreshing

I noticed your posting at the Pickled Stall - we have no 'official' contest there yet - would you like it to make it official - maybe for next weekend?
I've decided to let the Harvest Festival to go on as long as people are amused by it!

Whooaa!!! I'm delighted to see that your imagination is running wild - but you might consider slowing down a bit...
At h2g2, there's a thing called 'Continuity' - read more about it here: A351866
...as well as 'Threadiquette' - please do not make other h2g2 personalities do things unless you have their approval - they might not feel comfortable with it...

Oh - and I should add that I have myself been told off not long ago for imagining things that involved the actions of other researchers without their approval... it's a narrow path...

Dear Titania
I shall have to go back and see what I have "made" other researchers do without their approval. I was not aware of it but shall try and see what it is that has offended the laws of continuity. I am beginning to think that it is better NOT to have imagination!!. That way one does not either offend others or get into trouble.
And there I was thinking that the cake stall had gone really well.!! Oh dear.
And I was immensely grateful for all the help you had given me and said so in my post to you.
Incidentally could I ask how there was a "bad smell" in the cake stall.? I was actually quite upset by that as I did not know what it was about. Perhaps that was a way of telling me that I had offended someone?
Anyway, before I get myself any more upset I am off to bed.
Sadly I do not think that I shall be able to do the pickle stall next weekend as I am busy on both Saturday and Sunday.
Sleep tight and thank you for helping me. I shall try and get the conversations going. I still do not know where to start.
Kind regards AR1

The cake stall was a success, AR1!
It was just Nyssabird painting everyone's faces that made me a bit - although I don't think she minded!
And no - the bad smell was in no way referring to you! It's Hamish, only - I haven't figured that out yet!

During the night when I was worrying about it I thought that it was probably the fact that I had imagined Nyassabird painting everyone's face whilst they slept and it made me laugh. I never dreamt that it might offend anyone particularly as they all seemed to wake up and and think that it was funny,
Anyway, I think that is my last attempt at imagination!! I have lived for 74 and a half years without it and I think I had better go to my grave without it.
I am glad you think the cake stall was a succes.
Am off to the hospital to see about new hearing aids.
Kind regards AR1

I'm sorry I made you worry about it - that was not my intention...
...and I don't think anyone minded! It might have been a bit of a surprise for Nyssabird though, discovering what she had been doing...
We're keeping the Harvest Festival open as long as there are visitors - the Beer Tent and The Piano seem to be very popular for some reason!
Any suggestions for how to wake up Santa's little helpers and make them presentable again before I return them? (And Santa lives here: U12)
