We had fun at the party! The landlady of the pub said afterwards that she's run lots of parties over the years, but she didn't think she'd ever met such a lovely, nice friendly group of people. Isn't that a wonderful compliment for the people of h2g2!

We're definitely running another party in the summer, if you can come, we'd be delighted to see you there!

Hi Peta, Thanx so much for telling me about the party. I followed you in thought. No op yet because I had an infection in my eye and it has been delayed. Hopefully though they will soon be bright and sparkling! I saw a wonderful film last night - Manon des Sources. I wonder if you have seen it? It is an old one, but the photography, acting, and the wonderful Provencal accent had me totally entranced. If there is a summer party that will be great. It is easier to get around in summer I think. I have an Australian grandaughter coming over to spend a year studying environmental engineering in the summer. I am really excited about seeing her. In the meantime getting on with the biography of "my" missionary, and planning my summer garden. It seems the first miniature irises and crocuses are up in some of the containers on my patio so I must get someone to trundle me out to see them. I love these first signs of Spring.
