Anna dear, What a lovely surprise. And my dear sweet kind Lurcher directed you to me. Thank you. I shall thank him as well. Lovely to hear about your Dominic. And your time in Thailand. I have two grandchildren who have both spent some time in Thailand. My daughter and her husband, when they lived in Hong Kong went with two of their daughters to Phuket. This was at least nineteen years ago so it was still very unspoilt. Yes I have managed to contact Abi thanks to the excellent directions from . He is absolutely right I do have problems negotiating my way around. I also find that the young are so helpful and I have one super young chap, Zantic who was quite prepared to escort me to the party tomorrow. Now that is a really wonderful thing to offer to do. Another sweet young Ming Mang has offered to help me understand threads etc. As I said to Abi, the spirit is willing but the flesh is getting really rather miserable and uncooperative!! Hope to read more of Dominic - lovely name Very sincerely, AR1

Hello Also Ran
I lived in Phuket! From a few of the long term ex-pats that lived there I heard about a time when you could occasionally see tigers on the beach and Patong town (the main glitzy strip) was a sleepy fishing village.
I'll be updating my page on Dominic on Monday: keeping the Community up to speed with the weekend's events
Have a lovely weekend,
Anna

Dear Anna Lurcher of direct lupine descent has taught me how to look at my old conversations - which I thought I had lost. And I find this "thread" from you. I had forgotten that we had spoken together. How is big Dominic now? I enjoyed your five choices - at least four of the five!!. I have really met such super people on h2g2. It has made my life even more complete. An affectionate AR1

It feels as if Dominic is huge. He's only just crawling - very slowly at that - so I have to cart him about a lot. In fact he has a beautiful Buddha shape. He woke up this morning at five, though I need to go and get another cup of tea
Key: Complain about this post
