(back) to h2g2!

I gather this is not your first 'persona'.. and that you have already been 'officially' welcomed to the site. However, I have the pleasure of being among the first to officially 'ACE' you, in this one..

I suppose getting a 'hello' from Peta counts for something, though smiley - winkeye

BTW, what exactly is the 'last icon' on the toolbar? Do you mean the little 'X', to close the window? That one has messed me up so many times... smiley - erm

As you mooch about the site, you will notice many researchers who have lost their original login details, and have 're-upped' with new numbers. Sometimes they manage to recall the original data, and then enjoy the oft confusing fun of having multiple virtual personalities smiley - biggrin

I read that you witnessed the flight of an autogyro in '33. I suppose that must have had a thrill similar to that of the launch of a space rocket.. smiley - rocket

If you would like any additional help, or just want to talk, please click on the 'reply' button and I'll be happy to do whatever I can.

Regards and smiley - cheers

Also ran 1

Hi Tai, thank you for your welcome back and also for noting the flight of the autogyro. I have now remebered the name of the inventor. It was a guy called Sikorsky. Well I think that seeing the first space flight was practically even more exciting. We were fortunate where I used to live because the night skies were clear, the sky incredibly black and the stars sparkling like nothing one can imagine. And then one saw one star moving slowly, rhythmically and gracefully across the sky, and we marvelled at the ingenuity of man. I remember seeing one space craft and listening to it's path being tracked on the radio - we did not have TV then - and twenty minutes later it had landed six thousand miles away. That was an extremely difficult concept to absorb. But so was flying in Concorde. I have been very blessed . Good night and sleep tight. Also ran (1) aka AR
