Back to the grind
Posted Jan 7, 2002
Well, here I am, back in Brum. Not too bad - but it looks like I'll have to work really hard this term, so less h2g2 for me! Right now I've got to go to a maths lecture, so TTFN

Going home!!!!!!!!
Posted Dec 2, 2001
I've been horribly busy lately, but in six days I'll be home - and on a three-week break from lectures (although not from study!).
I'll update my space when I get back - I can only really access the internet from uni, so don't feel ignored if you don't get a reply to something, I'll get back to you in the new year.
See you when I get back,
Cadi

Nice place you have here
Posted Nov 13, 2001
I've been here only a short time, and averaged (as you can see) about one journal entry a week. I've run into many people that would seem to be like me, going by what they say about themselves in their spaces (but can you believe what people say about themselves?). I've left a few 'Hello's' lying around, but had little response. Maybe I should put some more about who I am, and what I like in the space above. I'll give it a think, and see if I can plan a better intro. Since I'm using the university's computers, I've got to plan what I want to type, bring it with me, and find the time to type it in - GuideML is slow, especially when you're not used to it.
Also, I'm supposed to be working. Next week I have *4* things due - things which I've had ages to work on, and which I need to get down in black and white. I've done the thinking - now I've got to do the typing. There are times when I can identify with Snoopy in my literary efforts (although I'm trying to write an essay, and he was trying to write "Great Literature"). As Woodstock has it: |' ' ' || ||' ' ||' || |? ''' '' '''|| ''|| ' |||!!!

Tempus Fugit
Posted Nov 6, 2001
Does that count as putting a foreign language on the BBC's site? Well, I bet I spelt it wrong anyway.
I can't believe that I've been here nearly seven weeks. Almost two months! Well, the quicker the term passes, the sooner I'll be home. I'll have to think about getting my train ticket soon.
Anyway, I thought I would put something in here, just to say that I'm still alive. My course is jogging along nicely, and I have the beginnings of a routine, which is always good. In the words of that excellent gentleman in "Dombey and Son", whose name I can never quite remember, (Mr Morphin, I think) anyway, as he said, "we are creatures of habit". I think we all like a degree of certainty, even if it's only going out every Saturday. I like to be in a routine, and get very upset if anything throws it out, but paradoxically I am also highly disorganised and tend to finish things at the last minute in a desperate rush. Lord, what fools these mortals be.
Heigh ho, back to work I suppose. Time is pressing!
(Incidently, time is very busy. What with flying (or "fugit-ing" as my Dad calls it), pressing, marching on and all the other things it reputedly does, does it ever get a chance to put it's metaphorical feet up? I suspect not. I wonder what would happen if it did?)
