BonSoir Madame Hazelnut,
Ca Va...?
My wife is an avid Alan Rickman fan, and has made me appreciate his acting ability, i dont think she is interested in his acting though ! LOL
she has collected nearly his entire back catalogue of work on either video or dvd.
He was possibly at his best in either robin hood, or harry potter, but truely madly deeply was fantastic.
i'm learning French too, if you want to confer, give me a shout.

Bonjour Clincher

Je suis desole que je n’aie pas ecrit (sooner)
I have fully moved into my new house now so will pick up my French again (and update my home page!)

I have just got a home computer so I will be online a lot more in the future.

Your wife has good taste!
Alan is a bit old for me as I am 24 but he is a fantastic actor and seems a lovely person from interviews I have read etc.
I too have all the old movies.
It is easier to get them if you live in the States but I have managed to get UK copies of most of them.

websites for you!
One for you and one for your wife
www.cybamuse.com/movieThemes.actors/arickman
http://uk.altavista.com/pos/babelfish/trns I like this one as it translates all my French magazine articles.
I know it is cheating but you still pick up bits.
I am finding grammar a pain at the moment.
I am learning with the BBC French experience and keep putting all the wrong endings on things!

Bob Chance avec ton Francais

Salut
Luv Haz

Thanks for that Hazelnut,

My wife, had already dredged the net and found the cybermuse site... its her fave Rickman site, she goes on the forum there as Donna, but not very often.
i will try out the bablefish one though.
I know Alan Rickman is no longer a spring chicken, but mrs Clincher is only 30, and he floats her boat... LOL.
She has recently Spent £60 on an autographed Photo of him playing Profesor Snape.
Catch you later

£60 wow thats dedication for you!
My biggest indulgence was £50 on a load of American videos from Amazon.
They were all the ones I couldn’t get here in the UK.

J’adore Moisseur Rickman et votre épouse a le goût fantastique
I'm glad I am not the only person who fancies a guy twice her age! (over twice on my case as I am only 24!)
I do admire his acting ability aswell just happen to think he is rather nice.

I have just seen a deal for £125 to Paris 2 nights with Eurostar and I am very tempted.
I want to see the notre damm and Versailles as I always run out of time to do those two things!
If you want a lovely holiday (and Cheap) in France go to Chamonix with Crystal holidays.
I went there with a group of friends a few years a go and loved it.
Where in France have you been that you can recommend?
I have this romantic idea of travelling round France by train and looking at all the lovely countryside.
I love weekends away and I can use the excuse that it is for educational purposes!

Better get back to work now as the Boss is back from lunch!

Take care
Keep smiling

Hazelnut,

I have stayed in france twice.. and to be honest i would'nt reccomend either accomodation. I first went there whn i was 18ish and stayed in a tent in the south of france, nice area, near perpignon. my last stay was this August in paris, in a fairly cheap hotel near the bastile, next time i think i will pay for a more luxury hotel.. you might not spend much time in the hotel, but i need a nice bed etc.
Being near a central metro station is the best advice i can give... notre dame is nice to walk around being on one of the islands in the river. we are thinking of going back for my 30th birthday in july, we will need longer this time, only had 5 nights last time, had planned to have a day each in versailles and euro disney, but ran outta time for both, need at least a week there.
i can highly reccomend the euro star, its great, i wouldnt fancy driving there and it is soooo smooth you dont notice the speed you are travelling at.
Bon chance,
Hugs Clincher
