And I thought this thread was long since defunct!
R.Daneel,
I'd like, if I may, to pre-empt the good preacher with the following points I think he'll want to make.
1) It's God's creation to do with as he pleases. Just like the potter who makes vases and bedpans; the clay don't get to choose.
2) Who are we to judge God anyway?
In responce to your posting on the "The Cross of Christ." thread:
"I've made very similar points to Justin in the past. He is simply the mouthpiece of God, incapable of critical thought or logical reasoning. You are indeed wasting your valuable webtime on this guy; he will no more believe you than you believe him, and he has no interest in discussing things openly.
Justin KNOWS he is right. There is no reasoning with such a person, although baiting him can be immense fun!
Hey Justin!! Aren't you raptured yet?"
I realize that I can achieve nothing in debating him, but there are three reasons that I do.:
1.) I can possibly learn some of his arguments so that I can figure out ways to counter them when arguing with people who are less deep in self delusion and can be convinces to think rationally (basicly practice)
2.) In case anyone who is possibly willing to agree with Justin stumbles on the thread, I hope to give them evidence that he is crazy before they decide he's right." (basily being an antidote to his views)
3.) I have some free time, and some of the things he says are almost funny. (basicly, its entertainment)
I posted thi here because I didn't want him to see this and start arguing about it.
Key: Complain about this post
