I wonder if you could assist me with a query regarding IT positions in Finland. I realise you may not have any idea if this is not your field but I thought I may at least try.

I have worked in Helsinki on two previous occasions. I returned to the UK in October 2001 and thren went on to travel around australia - I have recently returned to the UK and I am interested to return to Finland to work. My main skills include VB 6.0, SQL Server, ActiveX component development and web development - ASP, HTML, JScript.

During my time there there were many positions available, but these days I dont believe the situation is very good.
I would be grateful if you could offer any information regarding the state of IT recruitment these days.

well... the thing is that the finnish IT industry is heavily into designing cell phone programs and other stuff. While the finnifsh IT standards are high, i'm not sure if there are any openings in the industry. I could take some looks and see what i can find out. But it might take some time.
