Hi there, Jan...
Amy: ear-deep in novels, poetics, and historical documents. Started conversation Sep 6, 2001
Hello and welcome to h2g2! My name is Amy, and I'm an ACE, or assistant community editor, here at the Guide. We ACEs flit around from space to space welcoming new researchers and helping them with whatever we can. (or we point them in the right direction if we aren't sure of something). One of the ways we do this is by posting lots of links-- lots and lots. In order to cut down on typing time (and to save energy in general), I made this helpful little page with some links to the more important places here at the Guide:

The social life here is quite vibarant, and there are many many many clubs and organisations that you may be interested in joining. My user space, which you can get to by clicking on my name above, has a list of the ones I'm currently involved with. In any case, don't be afraid to say hi to anyone: we don't bite (often). If there's anything you need, just let me know by either responding to this message or leaving me a note on my user space. Hope to see you around the Guide-- enjoy!!!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
