Where dya go?

I know I've not been round much lately, but you've not been around at all! I haven't seen you for days.
Is all ?

I'm very well, thanx Vicki! I wasn't about to chat - I've been a busy boy for the past few days. Thursday and Friday I was out of office at a strategic management workshop. Friday night I played a gig with the band at an office end-of-year party
Saturday we went to our bike club year-end-party
and Sunday we went to a house-warming party
Today is Monday
If so, I've got a financial assignment to drop off across town within an hour
I see VV is - wotzup? Can I help?

England played very good rugby - congratulations on your win!
I can't say the same for the Springboks. They sneaked home this morning, tails between their legs. Things can only get better with SA rugby - it can't get any worse!
Re-home your dog? Does that mean you can't keep it and must find another home for it to go to? I've never had to do that, but we did have to place Staffie puppies once - I missed them terribly! What dog have you got and why can't you keep it?

I've got a 5 year old yellow lab. (male, but de-nutted).
We've seen a house that we like but although that isn't a problem in itself, it's quite a way further from work and with the travelling time added onto the journey, it's too long for Murray to be on his own for.

I don't know if it's problematic in UK, but I would just get your boykie a little buddy to talk to and play with while you're away?
We have (all brought home by my eldest son) and
that we got for my daughter.

Why don't you dress him up in a harness and take him to work with you as a 'retired' seeing-eye dog?
I know some people who foster Labrador pups to socialise them before they go to seeing-eye training at 18 months. It radically reduces the cost to the blind person in the end

Well I think if I tried the blind dog bit, people might guess that he wasn't one in the first place, or that he had been retired due to some sort of brain disorder.
He is a real looney dog.

*new A31p laptop in grubby hands*
Cold? What cold?
*jumps up and down all excited-like*
I FOUND MY LAPTOP!
*remembers he's on-line with the world*
Ahem! Yes, thank you VV - I'll try a hot lemon with honey and buchu brandy. Buchu is a local indigenous herb that gives it a licorice-like taste.
It's lekka!
(lekka = very good, super, cool... various very positive adjectives)

Well done on finding your laptop!
I don't like licorice, so I don't think I will like that drink either.
