Working too hard are ya? Hope things get less stressy at work soon. Is there a meet that you take yourself off to for a couple of days?

I thought you watching Apocrypha was going to clear a few things up for me too lol. I don't think we know how it infects do we? I going to stick with the idea that the black oil and the black cancer are fundamentally the same, but they have different characteristics/traits. Like a virus you always have more than one type, I think there are at least two HIV viruses and a few hepititis ones so I thought TBC and TBO kind of belonged to the same 'family' or 'group'

I wonder about the WMM in FTF, how much of that speech was metaphorical? I think though that the black oil has been on earth for a long time, waiting for its chance. Its a big leap to say that it intended evolution to go the way that it has, or was a founding part of it. It seems to have got here originally by chance not intention. I thought partly that speech was to impart the enormority of what they were dealing with.

Just say then that the black oil is something that evolves sporadically, a product of the universe, it planet hops, one way or another, populations black oil merge , it forms symbiotic relationships with different species and all the time its accumulating knowledge.

Everything is very muddled with its relationship with the greys. I'm still sticking to my guns that some of this could be power games. Its in certain peeps/aliens interests to confuse us/or make us believe in the possibility of an alien god or ancient astronauts with fire coming out their bum as my mate so succinctly puts it, planting and tending the seeds for evolution here on Earth. It will make the implementation of the timetable that much easier

As for how it infects its host it seems to be a contact thing Although a pure form of the virus now seems to be airbourne. The Begining (I think) when there is a break out and the grey evolves in the reactor. That's scary and its a big step up.

Hi Peanut.
Work is very hectic at the moment, combined with general bad management and the that claims to run the place (don’t get me started on that I’ll be here all day) after this morning I’ve had about all I can take. I normally finish early on a Friday after putting in extra hours during the week. I didn’t appreciate being told today that not working this afternoon & tomorrow shows a lack of commitment to the company. I had a good reason for not being able to work this afternoon but my boss thought otherwise and just to get rid of him I said I’d work, then just cleared off at 1pm anyway. Not exactly considerate I know but I wasn’t happy with the arrogant way in which I was asked and he wasn’t going to take no for an answer so I saw no other option. So I’ll see what happens on Monday when I go back. Sorry to moan just had an awful day and I’m now convinced my boss has some connection to the CSM . Take the CSM minus about 30 years add double the arrogance and you have him to a tee.

Haven’t decided where I’ll go yet, no plans as such, possibly visit my uncle in Swanage which is near Bournemouth. If it’s ok with him and his wife I haven’t seen them for a few years. Visit my brother in Scotland, although it’s a little too far to go really, so I doubt if I’ll go up there and anyway he coming back here for a few days in Sept so I’ll see him then. Otherwise just drive somewhere by the sea and stop in a B&B for a few days and have a look around.

Was reading a few theories on TBO today. The colonists left TBO at exact points. Hoping that TBO would kick-start evolution into creating life and creating a race of beings that are susceptible to the effects of TBO. Meaning TBO would be the building blocks of what everything and everyone are created from. The Beginning suggests this could be the case. The DNA Mulder and Scully take from the alien claw matched exactly the DNA from TBO. When tested against Gibsons DNA they found it also matched his and ours, only it was ‘inactive junk DNA’ in us suggesting that we are all in some way part alien.

I agree about there being more than one type of TBO, perhaps that’s what TBC is a weaker version or a lifeless remains of TBO that is lacking consciousness. There appear to be many different strains of Black Oil, theres the sentient type we see in Piper Maru/Apoc. The type we see in Tunguska/Terma and the type we see in the movie, which once infected is used to create a new grey alien, then there’s the connection with the bees, corn, Purity etc. I’m hoping the links between these will all become clearer once I’ve watched the myth eps all in order, which I just, have started doing one episode a night. Starting right back at the beginning with the Pilot Especially looking forward to the Erlenmyer Flask as I haven't seen that ep in about 2 years.

Trying to have a discussion on the XF about TBO but I think we just talk at each other rather than with each other. Getting bored now to be honest. Pieter reckons that in the truth, it is explained that the human race is alien, which is fine, but doesn't explain how. Did TBO triggered evolution in the first instance, which is a pausible theory. But then he says that TBO infected early people and the first aliens were created which then fled into space and have been living there ever since. Which implies that evolution started here (independently) and at a very late stage in evolutionary history the black oil jumped on board.

I think that having made the black oil sentient I'm going to have to go with the meme idea. DNA, TBO just occurs spontanously and then takes off, in terms of a sense of purpose its a way of the universe working itself out. Got that from h2 somewhere, knew it would come in useful

He is! calmed down a bit now. Still not looking forward to tomorrow when I go back though. I’m guessing he won’t even say anything though as when things have happened before he normally never says anything. Thanks for the went down well whilst watching Fallen Angel last night. Sort of a myth ep, not really tied in with the conspiracy but still has the factor. I’d forgotton about Max Fenig and what a great character he was. He could have been the 5th Lone Gunman! Shame those guys are gone now think it was a mistake to kill them off .

There are so many different theories on TBO and The Greys all of which have some credibility. That’s one of the good things about XF it leaves you with a lot to think over and so many possibilities. Was reading a few posts on the XF board, it’s been quiet there this weekend only a few posts this evening, but Ass put up an interesting post about TBO which I’m gonna have a read through maybe tomorrow night. Sorry to rush off 24 has just started on Beeb2 enjoying that series right now too

I’ve still got a job my boss hasn’t got rid of me yet, like I predicted he didn’t even mention it. Hehe.
Was watching Vienen on Sunday on the Beeb, marked the welcomed return of TBO and raised some new theories about TBO. The newly discovered Oil being drilled by The Galpex Corp in the Gulf of Mexico was in fact likely a cover for world wide distribution of TBO. In that its now the aim to infect the populus with TBO by disguising it in regular oil and then just waiting for earths oil dependent economy to do the work for them. What we do know, which hasn't changed, is that it has it's own intelligence and acts with purpose.

It was also revealed that some or it may have been all Mexican Huecha (sp?) Indians may be immune to TBO, through a genetic mutation. These genes may have an immunity to infection. I really liked the idea of the possibility that there are humans out there that might actually be immune to it. However, suprising that the CSM/The Syndicate was not aware of this and used it to help develop a vaccine. Or perhaps they were and we just never really found out, maybe that’s another the reason for collecting the tissue samples we saw hidden in the Strughold Mining Company in Anazazi/The Blessing Way/Paper Clip 3 parter.

Oh yes we saw TBO switch hosts too, just sort of pours out the eyes/mouth onto the new host. Knew we must have seen it on screen at some point in the series.

Will be on the XF board tomorrow night off to bed now, early start tomorrow.

Hope you sorted out the chaos at the office No problem about the summary of Trustno1, I cheated though and cut/pasted it from a website. Only seen it once so it's a better review than I ever could have done myself. I tried to mention it on the board and the mods deleted the post , but it’s back again now.

Ass has posted a post asking for theories how the Shape Shifters shift shapes, I have a possible theory and will type it up and try to post it there tomorrow sometime.
