Hi Steve,

I'm an ACE, a volunteer on h2g2 who welcomes new researchers. So I would like to welcome you to this interesting, fun and sometimes overwhelming site.
If you want to know what there is to discover on h2g2, you might find my page of links useful for a starting point:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A599330

If you have any problems/questions just click reply, and I'll read it, or you could go to my page by clicking on my name at the top of this message.
Conversations are really fun on h2g2, especially since your user page will keep track of the latest posts.

Don't Panic,

Jonny

Thanks for the welcome! A little background on myself...I'm 26, live in Sendai, Japan, born and raised near Spokane, Washington, U.S.A., and have been a Douglas Adams fan since late middle school, if I remember correctly. It does date me a little bit. I'm currently a computer teacher at a school in Izumi (a suburb of Sendai) and have a lot of time on my hands to peruse the net and test programs on my slowish computers. I have a hobby of writing, and am considering an actual go of it as a career after I live this wee island. I have three years or more before that happens, so I am in no hurry to do much. I'm thinking of a stint in Africa after here, then see where life takes me. Kinda fun being in mid-twenties and having not much baggage. Better run before something starts chasing me...ciao!

Steve
