if you know hus user number (U...number) then you can type the URL directly like this www.h2g2.com/U...number
otherwise, click on advanced search next to the search box at the top of the page and from there, if you scroll down, you can find people by user name...

Redfish, you've time warped back to pre-rupert The address to type is now http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U.....
Ah, the good old days when the URL was far shorter and easier to type

I cant do that coz im not on a computer.. im on telewest..
Welcome Spriksprok(f)...
deackie Posted Aug 28, 2001
I'm afraid I don't know much about telewest. Have you tried using the advanced search function by clicking on 'advanced search' at the top of the page? When you get to the advanced search page, put your Uncle's user name in the 'find a friend' box and that should work

Redfish , they just link to the bbc site. Didn't they just used to go to a page that said they were no longer at that URL or am I getting mixed up with the way things were during the change over? I get so confused, my memory drifts
