Hi Strangefish,
Saw your name online and liked it so I thought I'd come and say hello. A colleague of mine has a band by the same name and it conjures up all kinds of weird images. In what way are you such a strange fish?
Whatever, welcome to H2G2 Long may you enjoy swimming in the blue goo.

Hi Metal Chicken (now that's weird one, that reminds me of Atomic Rooster (an obscure sixties band!)- not that I'm that old!). Someone once called me a bit of a strangefish at work a few years ago and I thought 'yeah, I guess I am!', so it kind of stuck... How about you? What kind of music did Strangefish play, do they still exist?
Anyway, thanks for the welcome, I'm gradually working things out around here...!

They're a sort of heavy metal style band inspired by people like Genesis - with one classically trained member with good contacts. They've a website but even if I could remember its address I couldn't tell you in this conversation thanks to the likely intervention of the moderators. And yes they are still gigging and to my eternal shame I haven't made any of their dates yet.
My name's explained in my space and yes that shows my age too
Hope you're having fun round here. Thanks for the , offers , and

You mean inspired by old Genesis!!! Freaky , I used to be into quiet a bit of Prog Rock (I've recovered now! ) but I just couldn't hack them! You should give them a try - you may never be the same again!
Aaaahhhh! The Clangers - my favs were Bagpus, Chorlton and the Wheelies, Mr Ben and Captain Pugwash (although I have no recolection of the Captain!).

indeed
Look, every time he's planning a gig I have to listen to him telling me how they're going to show no mercy and really go for the 20 minute extended improvs. It must be that I've always had someplace else to be when the date comes round...
I have no recollection of Chorlton and the Wheelies at all but there are certainly people around here who would agree with you. As for Mr Ben now - every time I saw an episode it was the one on the pirate ship so I don't believe the costume shop really had any other outfits.
More & ?

That's funny, the only Mr Ben I ever seem to see is the one when he's a cowboy and hides on top of a totum pole - very . Not that I seek it out of course, although I do always have to watch Tom and Jerry when they're on - they're brilliant, a big .
20 mins improv, and that's probably just the drum solo! (time for ).
