so close and yet so far... we booked a weekend at alton towers months ago for my birthday and since recently joining H2G2 i've discovered this bit and i'm a week out! JUST A WEEK! tis not fair i'll miss you all! at the very least someone can wish me a happy 18th on the 21st. if i had only been born a week earlier...

Never say never!
This will be the 2nd meet at Alton Towers, the 1st was brilliant, made me come back for more, so I dare say we will repeat it at some point in the future, perhaps even next year. Well they insist on building new rides, so what else can we do? 
There are plenty of other opportunities to attend meets keep a look out here U188421, for information on forthcoming meets around the country, or search the guide for meets in your area.
