Hi *waves*
I've been thinking about information on Candida, but unlike people who don't have proffession responiblies I'm not about to give out medical advice on a public website.
I can e mail you my opinions on it - if I've made abserloutly clear that this isn't medical advice - just my opinions. Advice to someone I've considered a friend and met.
The problem is that I'm worried that my opinions might be considered to be medical advice. Also I don't think that the majority of people who claim to be s online actually are.

Hi Z,
Thanks for this. I'll be happy to hear from you. Have you read my article on Candida Control? A694541 I had the information from my osteopath. However, it's fiendishly difficult to be able to follow in RL, particularly with a dairy and wheat intolerance.

Hi Z yes I've read it, a few times and recently sent you a e mail, I'm sorry I got carried away because it's a big long . Can you let me know if you've received it please? even if you're composing your reply..

Yes, Z, thanks.
I received it just before I went to work, so I haven't had a chance of reading it yet. It occurred to me I should have forwarded it to work, as I can't print it out here, and it's more difficult getting the full sense of a long e-mail when I can see it all at once.
Don't worry - I am always able to see every side of a situation - I rarely take offence.

Hi Z,
I've now read the e-mail right to the end. I think I need to read it again - tomorrow. Ill reply to it properly when I've had more sleep - I had a fairly sleepless night last night. Throat infection excacerbated by having had some plastering work done in the house - you wouldn't believe the amount of dust it generated - or perhaps you would!

Hi, *waves* no need for a proper reply, just wanted to check that I'd still not offended .. . I do realise that very long e mails are fairly intimindating to reply too..

Of course I'm not offended, Z! How could I be offended with you?
No, the lack of reply is due mainly to the fact I've been thinking about the issues, and, rather more importantly, I've had a bit of a cold and I've been very tired, so I haven't wanted to do anything that even remotely resembles thinking. This means my subbing is going slowly too.
Bear with me.

*drinks the hot lemon squash* Mmm - real lemons! Thanks!
I've just finished 'The Sea' A2181719 and I'm waiting for FS to make any comments. I've added loads of links (and checked that they all work) and sorted quite a few punctuation bits and pieces - lots more than I would have expected.

Z,
I still haven't answered your e-mail, and it's been on my mind. Lots going on in RL, and I've been very tired. In all honesty, I can see that the allopathic world may view things differently than those with alternative views on health. There's definitely a place for each and in some cases, side by side. I went on a reiki course, and I've used it to alleviate pain. Two recent instances come to mind. in one, a woman working alongside me pulled a muscle in her shoulder and was slumped against a wall, crying with the pain. I put my hands on the hurting part and watched her gradually straighten up over a period of minutes. Within 10 minutes she was OK to continue working. Last week, someone I know was at the same presentation as i was. She was standing with her back against a pillar complaining about a pinched nerve in her back. I put my hand over the part and she said she could feel heat (and so could I). Then she said she could feel something travelling all down her leg and that it had gone cold. I still felt warmth, although not as much. Again, after some 5 minutes, she said she was improved enough to get on with her day.
People who have homeopathic treatment at the same time as allopathic treatment for bone breakages - bones heal quicker (as they do with reiki help).
As far as candida is concerned, you may be right. What the alternative practitioners I have been speaking to describe as systemic candida may be different to what you mean.
I do know that when I avoid bread and cheese, I feel better, although I find them hard to resist, because I *like* them, more's the pity.

I certainly don't deny that alturnative medicine can alleviate pain, many people acknowledge that they do, (people being s) I know a couple of rhematologists and aneastatistis with an intrest in chronic pain who are trained in acupuncture, and are starting to make it available to NHS patients. Pain is odd, there's a stronge psychological element to it. I'd be intrested in the source of your information that broken bones heal quicker with Raki, has it been published in a reputable journal?

I don't know, Z. I can ask my teacher. Might take a while as she's in Australia.
I do know that I was talking to someone who organised medical trials (I think - something to do with local panels - can't quite remember what it was) and we were discussing things like giving medication at the correct time - scheduling operations at the best time of the month - not at full moon, as the wounds bleed more. She said she knew a fair amount about that (she was a qualified doctor), but she said that by and large, the medical profession hadn't a clue about such things. As I remember there was some work done on the time of day for taking medicine and there was a definite effect of greater or lesser efficacy according to the time of day the medicine was taken.
