I've always been told that having a vision of how you want your life to become pulls you forward towards that vision. The more concrete, the better. Don't you have such dreams or s vision. what do you think your life's destiny is? How do you intend to make the world a better place (or if you don't care about the world, how do you intend to make your world a better place)?

the first step is finishing my education. after college, no idea i don;t even know where i'll be in four years. NYC or on the west coast, maybe over seas. i have the plan and vision of buying a suburu wrx STI. when i get out of school that will keep me going in those boring classes and when i'm wrting long papers. (i live to drive, upshift downshift accellerate, corner) but really i'm just a twenty year old with not much of a clue of what comes after school. but that's why you go to an institution of higher learning right?

Fair enough! I didn't have a plan when I left college either, except I wanted to live and work abroad, using the languages I had learned. That didn't happen - I'd met someone and didn't want to leave him behind.
I often wonder what life would have been like if I had had a game plan. There's good evidence that those people who know what they want to be and do are generally far more successful in their lives than those who don't. There was the Harvard University study that showed at in a particular year, 3% of students had concrete plans about what they wanted to be. When they were followed up ten years later (I think), that 3% were earning as much as the remaining 97% put together.

When I was at university, I had no idea of what I wanted to do, except use my languages and help people communicate. Now I'm helping people keep safe on the roads. It would really have helped me to have had someone to talk to me about my dreams and plan for my future.

Ah, shall we start with a clean sheet/
New York was cool (apart from the weather, which wasn't).
Queen Mary 2 was even cooler - it has its own planetarium!

Little 's favourite part of the QM2 was the swimming pool, or should I say pools. One was so deep that he couldn't stand up properly, so he had to swim, which he did. As he couldn't swim without putting his feet down before, this was a big step forward for him.
Off to the Isle of Wight tomorrow to see mum and dad. Haven't seen them for almost a year. Weather is rainy at the moment. Hope it brightens up.
