You had a very nice day at Felixstowe it has been very long time since I was there and that was just for the ferry service. I have been to Margate a few times and when I was there I went into a shop where they made their own sweets on the premises. You could see how toffee was made there. When I was there I had freshly made waffles with maple syrup, topped up with cream and slices of peaches. It was the only time I have had freshly made waffles. I have never fished before, I have seen a few hermit grabs but I run away from the fear because I am frightened that they will nip me.

Why are you cold? Yes, Felixstowe was fun. No need to fear the hermit crabs. If you pick them up by the shell, they retreat inside immediately. Even my son was able to pick them up without fear (he's seven), although this didn't extend to the 'proper' crabs and my friend did get nipped by at least one of them.

Watching sweets being made reminds me of when I used to go to the Isle of Man, and I went to the place where they made IOM rock, with all the rollers that they use to get the rock smaller.

Sounds as though you have very nice childhood memories.

I am not very tolerant to the cold at the moment. I seem need to need to wear more clothes than other people just to stay warm. My hands are frozen this morning as well as my feet. I seem to always wake up with cold feet and hands.

If you're really cold, socks in bed help, as does a hot water bottle, or one of those wheat bags you heat up in the microwave! Doesn't get you any street cred, but it works!

It's a long time since I have used a hot water bottle, now I have heard that you can get them to be heated in the microwave. I will look at the local shops. My Mam used to use a wheat bag for her shingles pain, which she used heat in the microwave, now she use a cold pad. I have been using vixs vapour rub so my fingers are rather sticky.

I rediscovered hot water bottles when I went camping - you can't microwave a wheat bag on camp. I bought a teddy bear cover in the January sales this year - cute and useful - definitely . It's good to be a kid again every once in a while!
