No, just for pleasure. We went to visit one of my friends who I've known since University and her daughter, who is my goddaughter. As we've not seen them in a couple of years, we had quite a few Christmas presents to give and receive.
When we go to see them, we don't usually go into the centre of Bristol itself, so this was a bit unusual. There are quite a few fine buildings around and we went to a brilliant place called @Bristol which is an interactive sort of science centre, with loads of buttons to push, levers to pull and wheels to turn. There was a planetarium in there as well, which is always interesting.

The only thing I had difficulty with was the pulley, where both of us were inside a cage and we had to pull ourselves up. I couldn't manage it, pulling for the two of us, but some kind and strong young helper there did it for my little 'un, and then said, that's enough, I'm not doing it for anyone else.
There were lots of things with water as well. A bit like an interactive science museum.

Nor had I! Having a young child with you is a great excuse. The great thing about it was that we were on half term, but in Bristol, half term was the week before, so although there were children in there (a couple of classloads of them), it wasn't too busy, so it was fairly easy to access the bits and bobs.
It may be time for a trip to the Science Museum in London soon.

As we speak what are you listen to? (Who: my generation)
And um why'd you change the posting name to alter egos?

I changed the thread to 'alter egos' because of your name changes. should I change it to something else?
What are you writing (or failing to write) an entry on? I'm working on one on World Debt at the moment, with one on Firewalking to follow.

No not writing an Entry but a paper for RL. Its a 5-7 page horror for one of my classes.

Now here's where British English and American English differ. 'P****d' means drunk here - I imagine you mean fed up - we would say 'p****d off'. No idea why.
When you say your car died - was it terminal or can it be repaired?

No I'll be able to fix it. And I've only been smashed once, that was over new years.
