On-line dating services
Posted May 5, 2002
Well, what is there to say on the subject of on-line dating. Contridicting to say the least. First item, posting a photo. A lot of people require a photo with your profile if they are going to respond to any queries you send, but they themselves won't post one due to the unwanted attention it might bring. But I took the dive and posted. Now I know why in many instances it is not such a great idea to post. Then there is trying to describe yourself in a thousand key strokes, and fill in questions from a few choices. Let's see what pigeon whole do I fit? Hmmm, here we go. No quite. How about that one? Nope. Plus what do you give away, and what do you save for the first date if there is one? when do throw in the bit about your father's demise, your happiest thought, or that time you were found naked in the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park? I don't know. All I do know is that Miss Right won't be in a bar/nightclub and that I'm too shy to just walk up to her anyway. So if you'll excuse me I have to go cruise cyber-space now.
