How did you get those emoticon's in your last message?
Is there a list of codes for them on the h2g2 board somewhere? or is it somthing like html language?


ALSO : Is there a chat type area of H2G2 for real time exchanges or file transfers ?

No there is no chat type area on h2g2 - it was discussed before the BBC took over but nothing came of it - I think that you get a better standard of conversation if people can think before they post

You can check whos online be hitting the "who's Online" button - then clicking on a name will take you to that person's page.
